Bono, Eugene Peterson, and the Psalms

The Psalms are an important part of worship, in fact they were the book of worship for Jesus and other Jews, and that is still the case today. I read the psalms when I can, and sometimes go weeks at a time reading them in the mornings.

A mentor told me that during the deserts of Christian life and fellowship in a church that continues to struggle, he has found solace in reading the Psalms. They are the holy way to curse. Enjoy this short film about the Psalms, and be well in the mess of life, if at all possible:

About Christian Minus Christianity

“I do think it’s important to dismantle imperial Christianity in a form, and for the reign of God to liberate the oppressed and God’s entire creation from systems of supremacy, exploitation, and destruction. I also believe that every theologian and Christian are doing theology from their own context, wherever they are. All theologies are contextual.”
