Is it complicated?

I am thinking about how, as I interact with people here in the US, I keep hearing that Israel-Palestine is complicated. Really, should our perception of whether or not something is complicated, should our assessment of that here in the US be what determines if Palestinians are to be continually displaced from their homes and killed in Gaza in a genocidal campaign?

No, we should not let our armchair philosophizing dictate lives on the other side of the world. But that’s what settler-colonialism is all about. Without the US constantly supporting Israel, without strings attached, there’s no way the oppression would have endured and escalated to this degree.

About Christian Minus Christianity

“I do think it’s important to dismantle imperial Christianity in a form, and for the reign of God to liberate the oppressed and God’s entire creation from systems of supremacy, exploitation, and destruction. I also believe that every theologian and Christian are doing theology from their own context, wherever they are. All theologies are contextual.”
