Gaza Students Gallery

Original artwork by Gazan students, gathered here as a witness to memory, resilience, faith, and beauty.

Palestinian art is a powerful expression of resistance, memory, and cultural preservation amid checkpoints, military and settler violence, ethnic cleansing, scholasticide, and genocide. Through vibrant colors and symbolic imagery, it reflects resilience, faith, and hope while celebrating Palestinian identity and heritage.

Common themes include family, women, the sea, olive trees, doves, and traditional village life, each representing stories of belonging, perseverance, and connection to the land. These artworks preserve collective memory and express experiences that words alone cannot fully capture.

A recurring symbol is the watermelon, whose red, green, black, and white colors mirror the Palestinian flag. It has long served as a subtle yet powerful symbol of Palestinian identity and resistance, especially during times when displaying the flag was restricted.
